Derrick Tuff

Derrick Tuff is a courageous trailblazer passionate about empowering others through leadership and service. As a DeafBlind leader, he is the founder and CEO of Disability Resource Advisors, a former candidate for the Georgia House of Representatives and chairman of the Fulton County Commission on Disability Affairs.

Tuff has committed his life to creating opportunities for others. He previously worked as an AmeriCorps VISTA at Youth Futures, a homeless shelter for young people, and served as executive vice president of the Salt Lake Community College Student Association. He also held a position on the college’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Board. Through these experiences, Tuff has worked to break barriers, expand access and help people achieve their goals.

His commitment to excellence extends beyond leadership into academics. Tuff earned an associate degree in communication studies from Salt Lake Community College. He later earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations and strategic communication and a certificate in leadership for personal and social impact from Utah Valley University. He is also a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and the National Society of Leadership and Success.

Outside of his leadership work, Tuff is a songwriter, aspiring author and father. Whether he is serving his community, sharing a message or creating something new, he believes every person has the power to lead with purpose, use their experiences to strengthen others and make an undeniable impact on the world.
